(rhythm & groove)

Rhythm & Groove is a collection of artworks structured around a methodology to allow music to inform the visual form the piece takes. The pieces vary from ones done as commissions and ones that are done based on songs that were chosen personally. Both types have been produced as physical prints.

Each piece is structured on a grid that may vary in form from piece to piece, which aligns with the rhythmic structure of the song. Patterns and colours are then chosen to represent the different layers and sounds which would be placed upon the grid accordingly to match the music. Syncing up the finished piece with the music allows for it to be read, as the patterns and shapes corresponds with the moments in the song. Videos for each piece can be found below.
