Eulalia is an idea for a jewelry startup born between two friends during their visit to Jeju and the Hallasan mountain. The view of the Hallasan mountain with its fields of eulalia grass serving to inspire the startup.
Logo
Incorporating elements from the namesake of the business, the eulalia grass is weaved into the form of the ring. The white shapes reflect the Hallasan mountain which serves as the background behind the name.
Fonts
The fonts used for this project were chosen for their slimmer look which lends itself to a more elegant aesthetic, fit for a jewelry business. At the same time, this also fits closer to the central imagery of the stalks of eulalia grass.
Stylings
Stalks of eulalia grass are used to construct a pattern to reflect the namesake of the business.
(eulalia)
The illustrations for this project were done as studies to better understand the elements that would eventually be incorporated into the design. The look of the eulalia grass and the context in which they were situated in were both ideas that would influence the design of the logo and stylings. These illustration were then later repurposed to be incorporated into the packaging and collaterals. The use of the illustrations would further communicate to the customer the mood and inspirations behind the brand alongside the logo.
Packaging
The mockups were done for two different versions of packaging, one for a more rustic look and one for a cleaner one. Both the linen pouch and jewelry box would incorporate the patterns of the stylings into their design.
